3D Impact Media offers state-of-the-art 3D autostereoscopic multiview displays for any display size. Together with its client the company is able to develop and produce tailor-made solutions with fast turn around time.
3D Impact Media focuses on cost-effective barrier technology, however, lenticular filters are possible on request.
3D auto-stereoscopic displays allow viewers to see advertisement clips, movies and games in true 3D without the need to wear special glasses. In practice you see objects popping out of the screen. The experience gets more exciting, lifelike and entertaining.
The fact that no glasses are needed increases the applicability and convenience dramatically.
A multiview 3D display operates in the following way: the different perspective views of the scene are interlaced into a single image. This image is displayed, nowadays usually on a LCD-panel. An optical filter in front of the LCD-display assures that in a given direction of the viewing space, only a single perspective is projected.
There are currently two basic types of 3D-filter available: lenticular-based and barrier-based. The optical element in a lenticular 3D-filter is basically a simple cylindrical lens, projecting neighbouring subpixels of the RGB-pattern of the LCD into different directions in space. A barrier-3D-filter is even simpler: the cylindrical lens of the lenticular is replaced by a small slit, acting as a pin-hole camera.
Besides the standard product portfolio, the company is able to develop and produce tailor-made solutions for display sizes between 8.4” and 52”.
We have four datasheets based on the fact that we can offer both for 40” and 46” displays with or without integrated CPU:
